How To Wrap a Dragon Eye Pebble – Steampunk Jewelry

I would like to show you how to make an easy wrap, steampunk style. I use this technique for my dragon-eyes pebbles, and after wrapping, I incorporate them in jewelry, like pendants and bracelets. This is how an eye will look like, after wrapping it. The wrapping is absolutely necessary, because it holds the eye in place. In wire wrapped jewelry, the artist never relies on glue, only on wire. Dragon-eye Cuff Bracelet

This is my dragon-eye cuff bracelet. I was planning to write a tutorial… but who was I kidding? Look at this bracelet!!!! Do you think that it is possible to write a SHORT tutorial???? I don’t think so. It would be 100’s pages long 🙂 Many steps are involved in this project… I doubt I can replicate the whole process… that is why my wire wrapped pieces are all different. 🙂 I can’t even take a good picture of this amazing bracelet. I want to show its fully three-dimensional body. I think this pic is OK, I am using my dragon burner as a prop. I hope you like it.…

    Dragon-eye Pendant with Flower

So, here is the pendant. I used natural copper wire, and a little flower bead, did you noticed it? The eye is hand painted on a glass cabochon. I also used 5 black tourmaline beads for added protection 🙂 … and here are some “work-in-progress” shots. I grouped them in collages, so this post doesn’t get too long. This pendant features a large bail, so it can be worn on any cord or chain. My…

Step 2 – Attach the wires to the bangle, using 3 loops, as shown. Try to place them symmetrically. You will have 16 pieces…
